How To Make A Custom Spray

Hi! Today I bring you a tutorial which helps you from the start of making a custom spray, install it and make it work.


1. Download HL TAG CONVERTER
2. Open HL tag converter, click on open image.
3. Select your desired image and click on adjust image.
4. Choose Auto size & click Apply changes and convert to 256 colours.
5. Tick on Transparent view, Save tag and Export to .WAD file.
6. Save the .wad file with "pldecal.wad".

7. Delete the "custom.hpk", "custom2.hpk" and "tempdecal.wad" (one of them may not exist) in "cstrike"
8. Copy and paste the "pldecal.wad" to the "cstrike" folder (replace the old one if necessary), paste again and you got a copy called "copy of pldecal.wad". Rename the copy to "tempdecal.wad".
9. Then hold your "ctrl button", click on each of them, right-click -> properties. Tick on the "read-only". Okey.


There you got it installed ;)

Some people installed them but cannot use them on the net. Why? Because the server doesn't allow and/or they turned off something.
How to fix:
Step 1: In your console, type in: "cl_allowupload 1" and "developer 1".
Step 2: If the server allows custom sprays to work, you should see something like this: (in console)
» Requesting tempdecal.wad from server
» Custom resource propagation...
» Decompressing file !MD59fb77d7d881d72aabd07760daff26c3e (2839 -> 6296)
And if not:
» Requesting tempdecal.wad from server
» Custom resource propagation...
» Error: server failed to transmit file 'customization'
